Curriculum & Instruction

Geoffrey Zimmerly, Curriculum Director & Assistant Principal

Geoffrey Zimmerly has served as a teacher and administrator in Green Local Schools for 14 years, most recently as Curriculum Director for the district. Previously, he spent 9 years as Director of Choirs for the Loudonville-Perrysville EVSD. A graduate of Smithville High School in 1999, he is honored to serve the Green Local community in this role. He earned a BM in Music Education and MEd in Educational Administration, both from Ashland University.

Focusing on Focus Area 1: Academics, and Focus Area 2: Leadership and Culture, Mr. Zimmerly is excited to work with teachers, administrators and students to ensure a well-rounded education focused on engaging curriculum, helpful technology and critical thinking. He also values lifelong learning balanced with involvement in meaningful activities outside of the classroom.  

The Smithie community is a source of pride for Mr. Zimmerly and he welcomes the opportunity to continue to work with everyone in the community to provide a school we can all be proud of!
